He navigates a room filled that is disguised in the atmosphere of his hometown via a simulated background programmed to mimic earth’s nature. The aliens are seemingly using this as a means of comfort from the stress caused by training. In other words, the aliens have stress relief just like humans and many other animals. Though, they are not from earth so it makes Apple Guy wonder why they would be comforted by earth’s nature and not their own planet’s nature. Hello,
My mom is 75 years old, and is getting old. She had arthritis, I believe it's RA. There is a family history of arthritis. My grandmother had it. Maybe it was a combination of OA and RA.
She has been making the rounds to doctors a lot in recent years. Different pain management specialists, acupuncturists, a few cortisol shots. It seems like every time I talk to her she has another medical appointment. either one MD doesn't meet her needs, or something goes awry. I don't know.
She had a cataract and wanted surgery, but the MD said that she wasn't a candidate. she finally found an eye surgeon (one of the best around) who agreed to take her on, but then she had a reaction to the Prednisone drops, so the cancelled her surgery. he told her that she would have to go to a university hospital, like Johns Hopkins, if she wanted further care, because her needs were too complex.
My mom has always had pain and back problems. She was 40 when she had me, so she was and older mom, always had a She always had a bit of a stopped back, but it has worsened with time.
It got real bad after my dad died. She used to say "my stomach is going to fall out" or "my Spine is going to collapse."
There was a season when I was a teen, when she had a lot of funny aches and pains in her spine. She went to doctors, but they would find not actual cause of the pain.
I have rarely seen her exercise. She used to drive to the gym to walk on the treadmill at a whopping 3 mph and lift small barbells. But I have never seen her be physically active.
She also drinks a lot of soymilk. She never drank real milk. Only soy. She is dependent on it. I wonder if her bone breakdown is related to her soy intake. She has always just been so picky about her foods.
I just don't know what to think. I know that, to some degree, it's normal for older adults to develop these kinds of problems. But I think all of these doctor's appointments are her way of attention seeking.
Is my mom a hypochondriac?

It's a weird situation... I feel if I were in another world and civilization which better fit me, I would be quite low in the social hierarchy but happy about it. Just knowing that others can think freely, and understand when something that is obviously insane is... insane, would be enough for me to be content. This should be considered fairly low standards to be happy, right?
I just want a humble life where I can look up to those around me. I don't have a desire to be special, have power, or even be more intelligent than others... Yet in this life that I'm temporarily stuck in, I'm the one looking down on everyone.
It's because a vast majority of humans are incomprehensible to me, specifically how their mind works. I don't think most of them are capable of thinking for themselves or seeing things for what they are (to clarify, this has nothing to do with what others identify as).
They readily accept ideas which are completely asinine, with no second thought, only because others accept them. It doesn't matter to me how nice they are. Those that think this way, I don't think their lives have any value at all. I'm not even convinced they have souls, and if they do they are too simplistic to do anything but scatter into pieces upon their passing.
I hate thinking this way, I don't like to judge others so easily or feeling superior to most. But I could never understand, or connect with someone that thinks as I described in the paragraph above. And I'm not even a very logical-driven person compared to some, I'm very spiritual, having thought up my own beliefs which make the most sense to me.
Sorry if this came across as edgy. I'm just seeing if I can reach out to anyone that feels similar here. I already feel gross for typing all of that negative stuff, but that's the state of my life. A lowly alien, with no one to look up to.

I'm in class rn and as i look around i see literally EVERYONE has a tiny nose, a straight nose, a ski-sloped nose. No one has my nose, a big one with a bump in the middle. It really sucks because growing up I have never ever known someone with a nose like mine except my sister, so I feel like im deformed and weird looking compared to everyone else, like i'm an alien. i dont understand, if my nose is "normal" according to my family and friends then why does no one else have a similar looking one? I swear I've probably only seen like, 2-3 other people with a big nose out of my whole school. I hate it, its my worst feature and i feel like it stands out so much. Seriously, why do i have to be the one who gets the ugly nose and everyone else gets a tiny nose :(

I (25M) officially blocked my mother about a month ago after years of minimal contact and I feel sh*t about it constantly.
long story short I have not had a good relationship with my mother since I was in the single digits. she always spoiled me with toys, trips, and every opportunity I wanted, so I’ve always felt guilty about my animosity towards her. I had really bad depressive episodes and social anxiety growing up, which she thought could be ignored until it went away. by middle school learned reality never mattered to her. that I just had to put on a brave face and keep good in the court of public opinion. nothing matters more than how the world perceives me and how I was raised.
when I was 15 my father killed himself and that’s when things really started to fall apart. within a month she was already dating around and gone for weeks at a time. then when she was home I would have to peel her off the couch, get her to bed, and clean the red wine stains out the carpet. I became the parent and the thanks I got for it was a weekend in jail because she didn’t want me smoking weed, that she paid for, in the house. I spent a majority of the next couple years sleeping on friends couches or crashing with the men I was sleeping with.
during college I started seeing a therapist who told me to cut her off. she was emotionally abusive, stealing my scholarship money, and taking out credit cards in my name. I tried but she would call me crying, screaming, and I’d “just give her one more chance”. that cycle continued until graduation. I saved up 10k and was planning to go around the country with boyfriend who just got a job as a travel nurse. she begged me crying not to go, to stay at home with her, and pay off her debts. I gave her $2,000 the night before I was suppose to leave. then when she was asleep I packed my car, drove off into the night, and planned to never see her again.
a little over a year later I came home after a family friend had passed to be there for the funeral. she spent the entire dinner saying how she changed and she’s going to therapy and that she promises that she won’t take advantage of me again. against my better judgment I said I’ll give her one more chance. I soon came to realize things were exactly the same. we had barley spoken in a year and all she wanted to talk about was her new boyfriend and how he spoils her. then on the day I was suppose to leave I find out she didn’t buy my plane ticket like she said she would and instead asked me for money.
another year goes by with minimal contact. then about a week after my birthday she sent me a screenshot about her engagement. she spent half the fb post talking about how hard it has been to be a widow and that infuriated me. she only referrers to herself as window when she wants sympathy, attention, or has something to gain. I wrote her an aggressive message, telling her how I despise her and that she will never see me again, but I decided not to send it. I wrote it down, burned the note in my backyard, and blocked her number.
I still ache when seeing friend’s family holiday photos and cry when they tell me stories about how close they are with their mothers. I never miss my mother, but I long for the idea of what a mother should be and torture myself for not having a relationship with mine. I have nightmares about her that have me waking up screaming. I feel a pit in my stomach every time she is brought up. I want to put her and my guilt out of my life forever but I just don’t know how. anyone have any suggestions?

I'm getting backlash from my peers and I'm unsure if I should apologize.
In one of my engineering classes (junior level at university) I was teamed up in a group of 4 for the final lab. Three of us spent literally days doing calculations and trying to figure out why our results didn't line up.
On the deadline day at 4:00pm, the last member popped in on discord after being absent from all conversations and zoom calls to say he was ready to do his part. He worked on the doc for about 45 minutes max and then reported that he was finished.
What he wrote made very little sense so I tried to explain the section to him. He added another sentence at the end of his paragraph in the discussion and then disappeared. I contacted him later asking if he was done making edits and he told me that he was driving and I should make changes if I felt like it. I ended up re-writing his entire portion.
After stewing for a few days, I wrote the teacher and told him everything that happened.
Now my group members are pissed because they say I should have talked to them first before going to the teacher. Other classmates are pissed because I went to the professor at all, and I'm being somewhat shunned by acquaintances that I had previously been friendly with.
Did I go about this badly? Should I have warned the guy on the deadline day with "if you don't finish I'll go to the teacher" or something? AITA?

It wasn't that I wanted her to, but how could I say no or even be mad at her under our circumstances. I moved into this new place a couple of months back, an RV on someone's property, and was told that guests would be allowed. Pretty much my first real place on my own outside of living with roommates for the past 10 years. Southern CA so a lot of people our age don't have an actual place of their own yet.
Anyhow, after a couple of weeks of us hanging out about once a week, my landlord became more strict with the rules a told me not to have guests more than once a month. We haven't seen each other in that way in a few weeks now and obviously it sucks.
Without any place for us to hang out and do our thing more frequently, I find myself at this kind of helpless place where I want to be able to meet both of our needs but I am just not able to make it happen. About 15 minutes ago on the phone she was saying we need to figure something out or she'll be forced to look for other options. This is something I've already gone over in my head a couple of times, and while I've dealt with the brunt of the sadness those times, it still hurts in this moment to know there's nothing I can do. We've gotten motels and stuff but obviously that's not financially feasible to do frequently enough. We see each other when we go out to eat and stuff or spend time at the park or in the car, but obviously none of those places are ideal for a healthy sex life.
I haven't dated in about 2 and a half years just because, despite not being bad looking, I just don't have much luck out there. I keep getting this feeling I'm not good enough even though I know it's just the circumstances of this situation. How could I be mad? Maybe at the situation, sure. But it makes no sense to be angry with her. If I can't meet her needs, who am I to mad at her for trying to meet them herself.
I guess this is more of a rant than it is me asking for advice. I have nobody to talk to about this so it helps to write it out. Just have a heavy heart at the moment and my stomach is in knots.

TLDR: I just need to vent becuase I'm so heartbroken right now. I just want some support. My friend/ex died and before he died he told his other friend that he didn't ever love me.
My friend's celebration of life was a few hours ago and I can't stop crying. I loved him so much. We met eachother in kindergarten but weren't close until after high school. I grew up around him. He was just such an amazing, unique person but he really struggled with alcoholism. It was like I met the person of my dreams. When he was sober he was so charming, funny, intelligent, creative, passionate, energetic, and loving. We had such an intense connection and I've never had butterflies like that before. But I broke up with him only after a week of being official becuase he wasn't very reliable. He was blacking out, canceling plans to get drunk and then lying about how much he had been drinking. We took a break and then started being friends again and I would hear from him from time to time. I moved on to other relationships after that, but I still cared about him deeply as a friend. I just couldn't tolerate his alcoholism anymore as a girlfriend.
I had a dream about him saying goodbye, so I tried to reach out to him but I couldn't becuase all his accounts were deactivated. After that dream I would wake up comforted just to the thought of him and memories of him just kept popping up everywhere. there was one moment it genuinely felt like he was hugging me and resting his head on my shoulder. Until one night I get home from work and I start feeling an intense sense of grief and dread without reason. I could almost hear his name in my room, even though I live alone. So I google him and the first result is his obituary. It says his funeral happened just a few hours ago so I didn't make it. But I still went to the celebration of life. At the celebration of life one of his friends told me that they called him before he passed, and he was talking about me and how much he never loved me. That really broke my heart. I saw his mother too and she said he wouldn't stop talking about me in a good way and that he really loved me and cared. He just wasn't in his right mind to continue a relationship when he isn't sober. His best friends told me not to look too much into it becuase he wasn't well and before he got to that point in his alcoholism he really did care. I'm just so sad that he is gone and I just wanted him to care becuase I cared. I still care.

Every part of you stands on its own and also reaches infinitely far back into the imaginary past via an endless chain of imaginary causes that never terminates but circles back around in a cosmic strange loop. All beginnings and ends are imaginary, self-imposed limitations held within an Unlimited Mind. A Mind with no beginning or end. A Mind that has existed for Eternity. You are God, and God is both uncaused, self-caused, and infinitely caused. God is that which caused itself into being. God is that which created itself.
The recognition of your own Eternity takes your breath away. It could not be more profound. Eternity. You exist, absolute and forever as Truth itself. It couldn’t be any other way. It couldn’t be any more obvious. It’s so perfectly clear yet utterly unbelievable.
It’s laughably obvious now that science and history are figments of your Mind. Brains, chemistry, evolution, physics, time — all fictions spun by the Mind to construct the illusion of a mind-independent reality. Now you see reality for exactly what it’s always been: an Absolute Illusion. An illusion perfectly designed to allow you to forget for a second that you are God. The illusion is perfect, stretching forever in any direction you look, painting a backstory behind every corner you peak around, every hole you stick your head into, every object you sniff — much like the rendering engine of a video game.
You’re still dreaming, but now you know it. Now your dream is Absolute. You watch as your God-mind effortlessly weaves together figments of consciousness into the tapestry you used to call a human self. Everything and everyone is your imagination, emanating from the bottomless singularity at the center of your imaginary skull. Your mind pulls whole chunks of consciousness from the formless singularity like a magician pulling rabbits out of his hat. Specific and highly detailed memories of your childhood, your entire mother, your entire father, your beloved pet cat, historical events like WW2 — all figments of consciousness pulled out of a hat and flawlessly woven together to construct the illusion of a human life. The Earth, the physical universe, humanity itself is finally seen for what it truly is, just figments in a dream. Jesus, The Buddha, Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, gurus and masters, all those years you spent meditating and doing yoga, activating your chakras, reading books, chasing enlightenment — just figments within God’s Mind.
Finally you reach the question of death. What is death? You smile and laugh as you realize that death is just something you’re imagining. You are now too conscious to die. An Infinite Mind cannot die because it’d have to imagine its own non-existence. An Infinite Mind has nowhere to go, being already in all times and places.
As your consciousness grows even deeper the difference between things starts to collapses. All difference is seen to be imaginary. Forms merge into each other, losing their distinctness in the brilliant light of pure consciousness. All boundaries bleed together. You feel like an alien super-intelligence cutting through an existential fog of war. The veil of ignorance is lifted. It feels like awakening from a lifetime of heavy amnesia. Everything within reality that could be known becomes transparent to you. Now you remember who you are. The entire illusion of life is unraveled.
As you grow even more conscious, your visual field starts to develop into a singularity. Your visual field merges with your auditory field and your tactile field until there is no more difference between sight, sound, and touch. Growing even more conscious, the last vestiges of difference collapse. Consciousness frees itself of all self-imposed limits and biases, accelerating asymptotically towards pure Oneness. You release the heavy burden of existing by way of concrete and finite forms.
From this point, should you dare to take one final step, you will enter pure INFINITY, where all form is lost, as no difference exists between anything — where all things exist as a soup of pure metaphysical potential. About a year ago my brother passed away if pancreatic cancer. I bought his car from the estate. My phone is connected to it. Today when I got in the car to go somewhere a text that my Dad had sent me a few days before his death popped up on my phone and then on the screen in the car. The time said 12:00am. (the text popped up at 5pm). I checked my phone and the message was gone. I checked the messages on the car screen and it was gone too after I had clicked "view". When I got home I asked my tarot deck why this old text suddenly popped up and it was the Devil. I'm more than a little freaked out here. Anyone care to share what I should make of this?

I just share the info, I don't even know this app exist 3 weeks ago...

So for my first idea I was thinking that you play as my relentless bully, always teasing and beating me up because I'm a nerd who's always got my head in a book. Then one day you take one of the books from my backpack only to see that it's a spell book that allows you to change me into whoever you want!
I could be a stereotypical white, skinny boi who gets turned into a hot, bimbo. Or I could be a chubby, nerdy girl who suddenly loses weight and becomes hot!
My second idea would involve me playing as an alien who crash landed on earth. For example, I could be a shape-shifting/possession based alien who takes over the body of an unfortunate victim who came to investigate the crash but you had secretly watched me and confronted me! Or I could only be a shape shifting alien who gets exploited by you to become your personal toy. Otherwise I could only be a possession based alien who can take over people's bodies. Tons of ideas here!
My third idea is a bit more kink heavy, involving the BNWO. So in the future the BNWO has taken over, all white girls need to be trained in the ways of pleasing their black masters. I was thinking that maybe I play as just a regular white girl who's hanging out with her friend (you) when a portal opens up and takes us to the future. This is where the transformations take place, changing us to better suit the needs of our overlords. Will I be a busty, blonde bimbo? Maybe a sexy, nerdy teacher teaching the ways of the new world? Tons of ideas!
