We have two little ones, the smallest of which is moving into a convertible car seat after outgrowing her infant seat. I’ve been looking at Baby Gear Lab, as well as Consumer Reports, and there seem to be some conflicting information in terms of crash test performance.
For example, in the BGL testing, the Graco Extend2Fit is the highest rated seat in crash test, while in CR it’s just rated as “Better” Similarly, in CR, the Britax Boulevard ClickTight is rated as “Best” while its results in BGL were average at best.
I understand that these tests mean nothing if the seat isn’t installed properly, but I am very particular about ensuring that I’ve done it properly each time. I also understand that if it’s for sale then is meets federal standards, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting a seat that exceeds the standards.
So, my main question is, who to trust? There are no established authorities on car seat safety comparisons like IIHS for vehicles. I like that BGL posts the HIC and G load scores for their tests, but I’m left with more questions than answers when comparing these seats.
So far everything has been a series of trade offs and trial and error. We bought a Graco Extend2Fit because our oldest is 99.9 percentile for length, so we liked the extra legroom. It fit securely in my wife’s car but I could never get the LATCH or belt tight enough in my car because it doesn’t have a belt lock off or other tension device needed to really push down the bolsters in the bottom of the seat. I plan on keeping it for my wife’s car, but maybe buying another one for my car. The trouble is, I’m not so sure which one to buy anymore.

I have a 2013 Honda cr v and I’m stuck on a unreasonable car note of 21k so I thought I’d make the most out of it and do something like putting a turbo and what not I just don’t have the experience but I almost have enough to fully buy a turbo kit and pay for the labor and the tuning but What are some other ways I can make my car a fun vehicle to drive? I’ve done some basic stuff like getting tint because it was a fishbowl and got some xeon brighter headlights and saving up for a high quality touch screen. Was wondering other ways I can make it worth while.

3yr ago (about 4mo after I paid it off, of course) my 11yo car needed some massive brake/steering repairs that were going to be significantly more than the car was with as a sale or trade. Unfortunately, my credit wasn't great at the time and the cheapest ($ per month) option that I was comfortable with was a lease on a basic Honda Civic.
My parents always told me leasing was basically for people who were more concerned about having a "cool" car than making smart financial choices, so there is a bit of a stigma surrounding leasing in my head
This is the first car I've ever leased. My lease term is almost up, I need to make a decision and I'm looking for insight or advice. Of note, I have been promoted in the interim and so make a bit more and eliminated some debt so my credit is quite a bit better.
The options are:
1) Purchase the car I've been leasing. - Pros: There is one significant scratch to the body and noticeable scuffing on 3 of the 4 hubcaps (please don't judge 🫣) that i might be able to avoid getting dinged for if i just keep it. Will eventually own it and be payment free (God willing). - Cons: I don't really love this car. There's nothing wrong with it exactly, but it's not what I would've chosen.
2) Lease another car (probably a Honda HRV). - Pros: I would be happier with the car I'm driving while paying about the same $/mo as I am now. There are some Honda loyalty incentives that might be applicable. Maintenance and repairs are partially covered under lease. (Technically I pay for it, but it's rolled into monthly payment.) - Cons: Probably take a bit of a hit transferring to a new lease because of the damage to the Civic. Still not moving towards a car payment-free future.
3) Turn it in and purchase something else. -Pros: Happier with the car I'm in. Working towards payment free situation. No worries about minor damage in the future like a lease. - Cons: Not guaranteed to get favorable terms. Could end up costing more per month for a less "nice" vehicle. Not guaranteed something I like will be available in my price range. Will take the longer to pay off than buying the Civic.
I'm currently wavering between options 1 and 2. Any and all input is welcome.

Hey folks, I'm looking to buy a hardtail! I'd mainly be riding local trails in the northeast with some riding at Loon bike park in NH.
The Fuse 27.5 is on sale right now for $1,099 which is an attractive price point but the drivetrain and fork spec is holding me back. Then there's also the Stoic 3 for $1,499, which I believe adequately addresses those drawbacks. Altogether with shipping and tax, the bikes come to $1,250 and $1,600, respectively.
Upgradeability is also an important factor, but I'm not sure which frame would really be best for that!
So what do you guys think, which of the two would you go for? Are there other options that look like better packages around this price point? Any strong opposition to the choice of a hardtail over a full squish?

Hello guys, I have been running my store with around a 5% CR for about a month, already 1000$ spent on ads ~ 60$ / day currently.
I noticed before my CPM was around 25+ on the pets niche and my CPC was 50-70c. Since yesterday my CPM dropped to below 12, and CPC to 20-30c, CTR seems contsant, but the traffic seems to be lower quality, less CR and Add to cart.

Not sure what this means, yesterday I still got sales, little bit of loss, should I keep running this campaign, test other things ?

The engine blew in our 09 Vauxhall Astra - ding dong the witch is dead. I've hated this car since we got it 6 years ago. It always seemed to be in and out of the shop, had an ongoing oil leak that even after getting it fixed, seemed to come back, it caused me to fail my roadtest at one point because of a tail-light that was out (literally just after having been replaced). Not to mention, it was pretty ugly.
For the record, we live in Ireland (and don't want to import from the north) and our budget for a new-to-us car is €5 - €7.000 preferably from 2012+.
His uncle that sold us the Astra before is lending us yet another Opel product until we can get a car (or "buy this one!" which he wants €7k for). I believe he said it's a 2015 Opel Insignia.
I'd really, really like to avoid anything Opel and anything Vauxhall because it seems like this car has caused nothing but issues and has been pretty unreliable (which my husband seems to have conveniently forgotten somehow...).
How can I convince my husband that we should get something that doesn't suck so bad and what would a good recommendation be? I've seen plenty of 2012 Mazda 6s and 2013 Mazda 3s for sale. Are these any good? I'm pushing for a Mazda, Toyota or Honda.
Am I crazy in thinking Opel and Vauxhall are shite cars or is that just because of the experience I've had with the Astra?

THE BLEMS:

• Multicam jaquard: I thought I was getting a really good deal on 250 yards of jacquard Multicam, but what I got was multiSHAM. I can't return it, so while it's not as nice as legit Murdock Multicam jacquard webbing I have to make some kind of lemonade (or lemon flavored drink, anyway). It's sturdy enough but had the occasional loose weave and the pattern repeats a little strangely compared to the Murdock webbing. Frankly, it looks fine if jacquard weave is your thing but I don't want to pass these off as something that they aren't.**

THE SALES PITCH:
I sew these slings up myself. Some are berry compliant webbing, some aren't... depends on the pattern. Everything is sewed up with Berry compliant hardware and bonded nylon V69 thread. The front half of the sling is 3ft long and the rear is 4ft long; max length is about 66" when the slack adjusters are backed all the way off.
These have quick adjust slider on the front with an elastic loop behind it for keeping the slack when storing your musket. The ends are left open with a triglide so you can attach any kind of 1" QD/snap hook/paracord loop/etc or just fasten them to the built in sling loops on your stock, FSP, etc.
If you purchase more than one I'll throw in a 10% discount on each additional item.

• 17337: Slick, thinner webbing. Breaking strength 1,200 lbs. Thickness 0.038-0.050 inches
• 55301: Slick, slightly thicker webbing: Breaking strength 1,000 lbs. Thickness 0.039-0.050 inches
• 55301 solution dyed: Softer, slightly thicker webbing: Breaking strength 1,000 lbs. Thickness 0.039-0.050 inches

17337 slings tend to be very smooth to adjust out of the box. 55301 tends to need to be broken in a little bit but becomes just as slick once it has a chance to pass through the adjuster a few times.

Hi, the radio/cassette player in my 2001 Honda Civic recently pooped out and I'd like to just swap it with another OEM radio/cassette player, and all the youtube tutorials seem to be for using a third party audio setup. I've found a couple radios on eBay that seem perfect and affordable, but I'm not sure what other hardware I'll need. I think I'll replace the wire harness for the sake of audio quality (which had been decreasing slowly over time; there's also a buzzing with some of the paneling on the driver side interior but that seems like an issue for a separate post?), and get a plastic pry tool for the job, but do I need the mounting brackets or anything else if it's just the exact same part? Dealership has 2019 Hyundai Elantra for sale. sticker price is $12,394, 129k miles. It was previously a company car that looks to be consistently well maintained, according to the history report that the dealership provided. Clean title, no accidents/damage. They crunched the numbers for me and determined that my payments would be $250/mo for 60 mo (8.99% apr, most likely cause I'm a first time bar buyer, credit otherwise is decent). Affordability is a non issue; the payments fit well within my monthly budget. I'm also putting 3k down. Dealership said they just got the car in today and still need to inspect it and take car of any issues before they actually sell it. The main thing that concerns me is the mileage. Does this actually sound like a good deal or should I walk away since the milage is already pretty high? Are Hyundais able to last a long time, possibly to 200k miles?

I'd like a place i can travel back and forth to us easily because of my child and I'd prefer perfect weather all the time hehe
My biggest musts are that the city/country should be walkable and safe
I feel like my best bets are Lisbon Or Quito? But can't seem to find a path to either of those.
