I sometimes lose perspective because I live in an area with both reliable bus and rail service, however there are really bad parts of Austin, like near Mount Bonnell where the incredibly rich somehow can't scrape together funds for a sidewalk in areas that are horrifically hilly (for Texas). Fortunately, there's ample parking if you want to pollute before hiking in an area manufactured to look like nature but with loud noises cause it's right next to a stroad, and even though it's the highest lookout point you can see the same VC bros homes that have an even better view, yet no parkspace or sidewalks in that area because it would be nicer for everyone and not just the very rich who can hoard over an "exclusive" view (I understand I also have a certain level of privilege, but going to a cafe in the area where people talk about business deals on AI startups where the CEOs can't even explain how their "revolutionary" technology works has made me a little annoyed). Funny because my last post was defending my city but getting out of my bubble has radicalized me even on the city I live in. In places that are walkable, with tree lined roads and bike lanes, the self driving Teslas are inching me closer to inevitable doom. It is insane that the software automatically speeds up when people are crossing, Elon is also building a company town near Austin because living in a town area governed by the same dude that's promised full self driving "next year" practically since Tesla started should totally be trusted with every aspect of a person's life. Some of these parking lots and driveways in the hillsides of Austin are terrifying as a driver, too. It would be really cool if these streets were pedestrianized, but even if the NIMBY's agreed to it our own governor would take time out of pretending to govern the state of Texas to reach out to members of the Texas legislature to exclusively target the city. If anyone's wondering why I'm posting this rant here and not the Austin subreddit, it's because the people over there are like me not too long ago, agressively defensive of the shortcomings of this city. Sorry for all the rants, I just wish I lived in a state that didn't make me want to leave my hometown, and potentially the US as a whole if I can scrape together enough funds. I know I should stay and try to fight for a better future in the US, but it is nearly impossible. 7 years ago I got my first big job as a workman's comp claims rep, then took a payroll rep job for 5 years.Payroll job was a big jump in pay and work responsibilities from claims as I was running payroll, benefits, 401k for 100 plus companies.
Feb 2022 was going to be put on a PIP so I quit to avoid firing and took a customer service job in July because it was close to home (vehicle issues-dumb i know) while I worked on a certification.
Looking for a new job now but feel if I include customer service experience, it will take away from the work path I was able to build. In other words call center customer svc job cheapens my work experience and resume.
So should I include cs job or say I took some time off to care for relatives while I worked on my cert and I am now re entering work force? Will hiring managers worry more about year off from work or question why I took a much lesser role from payroll and now am trying to apply for jobs similar to payroll/skills experience again?

I’ve never posted on here before, but my mother just ticked me off in a text. Until last week, I (27F) have lived with my mother for two years to take care of my cousins who are in her care cause their parents ARE AHs (another story for another day). I have finally moved out and the first week of freedom has been amazing. To my grandma. When most folks think of a grandma, they think of a loving and nurturing woman who loves to bake & cook & be nice. That is NOT my grandma. She is a vile, mean, horrible woman who routinely calls me fat and a wh*re. Now, part of this MAY be to the fact she is undiagnosed dementia, but I genuinely do not care. She is getting up there in age and she lives in squalor and NONE of us (her 3 kids & 2 adult grandchildren) can help her or are willing to help her because she is a walking human hurricane tornado combination. When I say she lives in squalor, I’m not exaggerating. There is rotting food, no running water, no heat (our winters are cold), and there’s a possum running around the house. Yes, I have called social services on her before, but she refuses to let them in, so they can’t condemn it. My mother has recently lost her job, and has developed a guilty complex of where “she must care for her aging mother.” I don’t understand why. My grandmother has never been kind a day in her life. She was a teenage mother in the 70s, she’s a bitter old lady who deserves no affection from myself and I refuse to give up my newly found freedom to spend time with her and drive her around. Before you all say “put her in a home,” we can’t. She’s too far gone mentally and never gave us ANYTHING for decision making. My grandmother will die in that house because of her own actions. When I lived with my mother, I did A LOT for the family. Shuttling the 2 cousins & my 2 younger siblings around (12f, 14m, 15f, 15NB), housework, keeping kids in check, and I did help with grandma. It killed me to be nice to this woman who repeatedly degraded me. And she had done this before she lost her mind. My mother worked a lot before her job got eliminated, and her bf works a lot too. I was essentially responsible for 4 children, none of which I birthed, and a senile old woman. I feel like I’ve given up enough of my life to this screwed up family and should enjoy the last few years of my 20s. I am bitter because my mother is attempting to shirk her responsibilities to the cousins (they have a lot of trauma related to their AH parents) and now that I moved out, she’s starting to realize that she lost her daycare. So I think she’s using escapism with her guilty complex to “take care of” my grandma. I used to do a lot for her, but everything I’ve done has taken a toll on me. I’m tired. I want my freedom. And that’s why I might be the AH. But everything I did was kinda expected of me. I try to be a good person, but I have my limits. So, AITA for refusing to help with my grandma?

I've been self hosting a number of services for a number of years. I'm making a more concerted effort to de-google and de-cloud more of my services. This means I'm spinning up more services at home. More services means more service configs. A number of these services allow UI customization including branding like logos. I'd really enjoy having a logo to put onto these but I don't have one. I’ve gotten back into Diablo 3 after like 9 years. Whole new game!
I am playing in the seasonal with a Land of the Dead focused necromancer with skeletons to occupy my opponents. I am like 550 paragon and I’ve been able to push through to GR78 or so by just grinding and getting better gear. I really love this style of play. But I am sort of hitting a wall and wondering if this is just me needing to bring paragon to bring up armor so I can hang with single targets longer or perhaps just need to get more crit chance and crit damage to get through tougher defenses and higher health enemies.
I tried doing the death nova thing that is so big right now but found it to be just a little too many moving parts for me to manage. The whole timing convection of elements and whatnot just felt like a job and not fun. It seems like it is for people who really want to be experts at Diablo.
I like to throw skeletons at people to freeze and aggro them. Blood rush to get fast and run around, stunning dangerous mobs with bone armor and letting my follower enchantress suck groups into her and then spamming LoD in the largest group possible which I have set up to trigger faster cooldown. I often have LoD back up and ready to use the moment it ends.
I really like this style of play and want to figure out how to optimize it to push past 100. I know I’ve not allocated my paragon points perfectly so that’s what it is.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
